Week 5 is here, and the Goosepoop website is loaded up for another huge weekend of MHSAA football.

Updated team ratings, projected spreads, over/unders, win probabilities, playoff odds, and more are live for matchups across Michigan. The computer model rankings have also been updated after four weeks of results, giving us a very clear picture of where teams stand heading into the second half of the regular season.

Week 4 gave us some huge results across the state.

To nobody’s surprise, it helped computer model clean up some of the early-season bugs and gave us a much clearer picture of where teams actually stand heading into Week 5.

Alright, that’s enough review. We’ll end with a Survivor Island update. After four weeks of football, just 73 undefeated teams remain heading into Week 5. Here they are:

We’ll start with the Super 25, our ranking of the top 25 teams in Michigan regardless of division. Check it out:

Not to be dramatic, but week 5 could be one of those week’s we remember for years to come — the matchups are that good. Our top game even scored a 98.8/100 in the game score metric🤯

First things first, we put together the Top 30 games of Week 5, sorted Goosepoop Game Score. Check them out here. Clarkston vs. Oxford, Cass vs. King, and GP South vs. Romeo headline the week, but there is plenty more!

For the first time this season, we have a look at where every team stands in the race for the postseason. It’s still early enough that most teams have plenty of hope, but we’re finally far enough into the season to start projecting what the playoff field could look like.
