RANKING ALL 760 BOY'S BASKETBALL TEAMS
I've been promising this post for a while - here it is!!!!
For our 60th post, we’ve got a special treat for everyone.
It’s a post we’ve been promising on Twitter for quite a while.
Below, you’ll find all 760 Boy’s Basketball Teams, ranked from top to bottom.
I’ve also included each teams’ division (“Div”) and computer rating (“Rating”).
Each team’s division is self explanatory. As for the computer rating, don’t put too much stock into the number itself. Rather, you can use this number for a means of comparison between teams.
For instance, North Farmington is rated 58.7. Their nearest competitor, Brother Rice, is rated 55.6. This means that should those two teams play tomorrow, the computer would assign a 3.1 point spread for that game, in favor of North Farmington (58.7 - 55.6 = 3.1).
Hopefully that’s a sufficient explanation. If you have further questions on the computer model’s application to Boy’s Basketball, you should check out our last post (linking below):
That should give you a good idea on what the spreads mean and how accurate they are…… If anyone is still confused after reading that piece, don’t worry: you can also reply directly to this email with your questions!
Also, in case you missed our last post, make sure you subscribe below. That way you’ll never miss out again!
ONE MORE THING
Can you guys help me on my latest project?
We’ve (almost) finished creating our second web app.
What does it do?
It’s a fundraising app.
It basically does nothing different than all the other ones you’ve seen..… your players each create a profile, add their contacts, and automated text messages get sent to each of their contacts, asking for donations.
The one key difference?
You won’t need to talk to me or schedule a meeting to use this app.
Just like GoFundMe, anyone can sign up, add their team, and start fundraising within minutes.
The best part?
Because there’s no humans involved, you’ll pay dramatically lower prices (think 8%).
So what do we need your help with?
We’ve beta-tested with a few teams, but we’d like to cast our net a bit wider this Spring with a Private Launch, before we go full-live in the Fall.
This is where you come in.
If you’re a Spring sports coach, and you’re interested in participating in this Private Launch, let us know by leaving your email at the link below:
Can’t wait to hear from you guys!
BOY’S BASKETBALL RANKINGS, TEAMS #1 - 105
Some interesting notes here:
Genesee Christian is the lone D4 team rated within the top 100 (#95)
Of the top 35 teams, only 10 are from divisions 2 and lower.
Romulus Summit Academy is the highest rated lower division team, coming in at #7
There’s a clear break point between our top 7 teams and the rest …. #7 Summit Academy is rated 2 - 3 points better than #8 Detroit Loyola. Is the computer correct that these 7 teams are a cut above everyone else?
