Before we jump into the division-by-division breakdown, here are a few quick stats about this year’s Goosepoop 7v7 field:
Total Teams: 54
2025 Playoff Qualifiers: 24
Largest School: Lake Orion
Smallest School: Merrill

You probably noticed the massive enrollment difference across this year’s field. To create some balance, we’ve split the 54 teams into four divisions, each of which we’ll break down individually throughout this newsletter.

DIVISION 1
🤝 Some familiar foe
The 16 biggest schools make up division 1 at the Goosepoop 7v7, here are the pools:

Breakdown:
Division 1 has plenty of familiar faces, with several returning teams that were right on the 11-player playoff bubble last season. Three teams in the field ended up qualifying (Fenton, Stoney Creek, and Grand Ledge).
Rochester Hills Stoney Creek comes in as the top overall seed, followed by Fenton, Grand Ledge, and Lake Orion. Saginaw Heritage is back after winning the division last year, while Fenton returns after making it all the way to the championship game two years in a row.
There really isn’t a clear favorite here, which should make for one heck of a Thursday in Division 1.

DIVISION 2
🔥 A LOT of competition
Schools ranked 17–32 by enrollment make up the Division 2 field at the Goosepoop 7v7, here are the pools:

Breakdown:
Division 2 might be the most loaded group in the entire field, with 11 of the 16 teams coming off an 11-player playoff appearance last season.
Williamston enters as the top overall seed, followed by Cedar Springs, Chelsea, and St. Joseph. Chelsea is back after winning the division last year, while Williamston returns after finishing as the runner-up.
With playoff teams all over the bracket, Division 2 should make for an incredibly competitive Saturday. Based on their previous Goosepoop 7v7 performances, though, Chelsea and Williamston have to enter as the favorites.
DIVISION 3
🏆 Another loaded field
The next 12 biggest schools make up division 3 at the Goosepoop 7v7, here are the pools:

Breakdown:
Division 3 has plenty of teams that could make a run, with six of the 12 teams coming off an 11-player playoff appearance last season.
Pontiac Notre Dame Prep comes in as the top overall seed, followed by Clinton, and Montrose. Last year’s champion, New Lothrop, has moved down to Division 4, so we will have a new Division 3 champion this year.
Notre Dame Prep has been right in the mix each of the last two years, suffering heartbreaking losses both times. Because of that, they have to enter as the heavy favorite. Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard could be a dark horse with its strong 11-player passing game, while Boyne City making the long trip down from up north has to put the Ramblers in the mix for most motivated team in the field.
Safe to say division 3 will be FUN!
INTERMISSION: A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR
The best way to fundraise for your team

By now, you’ve probably noticed that all of Goosepoop’s content is completely free.
A big reason we’re able to keep it that way is because of Teamfi — the fundraising company my brothers and I started a little over 3 years ago.
Funny enough, Teamfi actually started through this very newsletter.
We built it to help teams and organizations fundraise in a way that’s faster, simpler, and way less painful than the traditional stuff. No platform fees, no product delivery, no chasing checks around. Just simple digital fundraisers that regularly raise several hundred dollars per player in under two weeks.
If your team, program, or organization is looking to raise money, we’d love to help.

DIVISION 4
💪 Small but mighty
The Smallest 10 schools make up division 4 at the Goosepoop 7v7, here are the pools:

Breakdown:
Division 4 might have the most interesting mix of teams in the entire field. Four of the 10 teams qualified for the playoffs last season, while Flint International makes its Goosepoop 7v7 debut and Concord and Merrill represent the 8-player ranks.
Leslie enters as the top overall seed, followed by New Lothrop. The reigning Division 3 champion Hornets have moved down to Division 4 and will look to defend their crown in a brand-new bracket.
There are plenty of storylines to follow here. Can one of the 8-player teams make a run? Will Flint International make some noise in its first appearance? Or will Leslie or New Lothrop take care of business as the top two seeds?
This is going to be fun!
