43 Teams, 11 Pools, 3 Champs

Hey Guys,

Been a bit since I’ve emailed everyone, but I’m writing you about the 2nd annual Goosepoop 7on7 tomorrow.

We’ve got 43 teams coming:

Credit to Flint Prep Fan, he was able to name all of the teams in one shot:

Last year, he won a t-shirt for this. Not doing that again this time.

Sorry FPF, you’re gonna have to up your game.

(he will be there tomorrow covering all of our Flint area teams attending).

What’s new this year

Aside from more teams, we’ve split our 43 teams into 3 divisions, separated by enrollment.

You’ll note that each division is pooled - those pools were seeded according to each team’s final 2024 Goosepoop Rating (similar to last year’s tourney).

I’ve also shared each division’s top 4 seeds below:

Division 1:

1. West Bloomfield

2. Lake Orion

3. Northview

4. Portage Central

Division 2:

1. Notre Dame Prep

2. St Joe

3. Cros-Lex

4. Chelsea

Division 3:

1. Clinton

2. Leslie

3. Lakewood

The fun part about these seeds is that they don’t seem to matter much - at least they didn’t last year.

2024’s tourney final was Redford Union vs Chelsea, who I think were our #8 and #4 seeds, respectively (fact check me in last year’s post if you’d like).
